“Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear
no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me,” (Psalm
23:4).
Thought: As you continue your journey in the
valley (your valley) today, I want you to stop and take notice of who is with
you. Who is with you on this journey? Who is your companion? Your journey to
you is quite difficult but you do not travel alone if Christ is your Savior and
Lord. Christ in the person of the Holy Spirit will be with you every step of
the way and you will be victorious and God will be glorified. Amen. Do not be
distracted. Be observant. Be alert. Be patient in learning all the lessons as
you go through your valley.
David says, “Thou (You) are with me.” To whom did David
refer? Certainly David speaks of God! Since God was with David there was no
need to fear. Moreover, fear is not of God and God has not given us a spirit of
fear. If the Holy Spirit dwells within you there is nothing and there is no one
to fear. Have faith and confidence in God.
